About a week ago I was contacted by Tamar Ben-Yosef of Alaska Newspapers. Tamar was interested in doing a story of me for The Arctic Sounder one of six of the regional newspapers that Alaska Newspapers puts out. I was more than happy too. The story came out Thursday Oct 9. My hopes and goals of the story was to let the people that I photograph in those regions know where I come from and what my photographic intentions are. I have a great respect and love for my heritage and want to show people what we are at risk of losing.
So, thank you too Tamar for finding me and showing an interest in what I love to do. Also to beth Skabar for backing Tamar and photographing me.
