Port of Anchorage

© 2012 Brian Adams

For the past week, I have been going down to the Port of Anchorage to explore the beauty that is less than a mile away from my front door. I have been going down there around sunset with my Hasselblad searching for photos for my upcoming book of Alaskan portraits. There are days when I am leaving the house and I don't feel like carrying the weight of my Hasselblad, but then I think of one of the things Jacques Jouffret told me while working on the movie: "Always stay hungry." It's true; hunger is one of the things that defines all of the artists I admire. I am so happy I had my Hasselblad with me this week; I came back with a lot of photos I really dig. (Above are five of them.)
