Election Day was wonderful. Oscar and myself started the day off by going out to Wasilla to photograph Sarah Palin casting her vote in her hometown. She ended up voting about 20 minutes early so we missed that part. After she voted she headed out to speak to the press. We were able to get some pics of that. We drove around Wasilla for a few more hours getting a sense of place.
After we felt like we got all that we could in Wasilla we went back to Anchorage. I spent the rest of the day photographing bars, churches and at the Egan center. When Obamas winning numbers came in I was at the F st bar. There was plenty of celebration and good times. Obama! yay
