Today, Ash and I photographed and interviewed Vinnie, owner of Rebirth Tattoo. Above are a few out-takes from the shoot. When I get the film back, I will be sure to post more.
The shoot was a lot of fun. Vinnie has a wonderful crew and interesting clients. A couple of his recent clients arrived during the interview and let me snap a few shots of their tattoos. One of them I was very happy to see--Mike. I photographed Mike for Design News Magazine {see here} about a year ago.
Ash and I had a wonderful time, and we look forward to pushing the story!

Congratulations to Callan Chythlook-Sifsof for making the Olympic snowboard team. Callan will be in the Vancouver Games competing in the women's boardercross event.
I am very excited and proud to see another women from my hometown of Girdwood going to the Olympics. Wish her luck and follow her here on her blog

The other day, Ash and I went to the port of Anchorage just to get away from the computers for a bit, and as we were driving up, we saw these two lovely women snapping photos of each other. I hopped out of the car with my Hasselblad and made the gesture as if to ask "may I take your photo" to them. They nodded yes, and this is the result. Right place at the right time. I love it.

Happy New Years. Above is a photo of my friend Rob Kinneen. Rob is the lead chef at one of my favorite restaurants, Orso. Rob was also my last portrait of 2009.

The blue moon was my first photo of 2010.
