global assignments by getty

Today, Getty Images launched its new design for "Global Assignments by Getty." I joined Getty in 2006, and this is the third time I have seen the site change. One of the new features added to the site that I really enjoy is "Selected work." It's a section in which Getty highlights recent commissions with behind-the-scenes images and offers insights into the creative concepts behind the photos. You can check out the new site here.

Last night, I flew into Lihue, HI to photograph my good friend, Sandra Yi's wedding on Monday. So far, I have been pretty chill. Today has been The New Yorker, Billy Collins, skateboarding, coffee, and beach. I look forward to the wedding because I am itching to shoot, so look forward to many more photos!

Today, I had the pleasure of photographing Greg Kimura, Ph.D. Greg is publishing his fourth book and needed a photo for the back book jacket. I was happy to finally work with Greg; we have been talking about shooting something for a couple years now.

On Saturday, I photographed the Anchorage Opera fundraiser for my dear friend, Carolyn Kinneen. The event was held at the PAC on the Discovery theater stage. The attendees were pleasant, and the entertainment was amazing. It was refreshing to be photographing an event; moving around quickly and trying not to miss a thing always excites me. Above are a few of my favorite shots of the night.

On Thursday, January 28th, we welcomed Tyler Allen Adams, son to Roland Adams and Angie Day, into the world.
Looking forward to doing uncle things.
